Spanish EUROPHONE MAC INFORMATION
What is Europhone® Mac?
- EUROPHONE® Mac is an effective system of language learning taught through a combination of classes given by telephone. The student follows the course using the telephone, gaining fluency and accuracy in a short period of time. The system is personalized and specific to the particular needs of each student.
- EURO LANGUAGE CONSULTANTS is the pioneer of telephone classes in Spain in the languages of English, French, German and Spanish for Foreigners. It now offers, through the system of EUROPHONE® Mac, courses in General English, Business English, Commercial English, English for secretaries and receptionists, English communication skills and preparation for presentations/negotiations/meetings/interviews in English.
How does EUROPHONE® Mac work?
- EUROPHONE® Mac is made up of a series of telephone classes lasting 25 minutes each. It has been proven that this time period is the optimum length of time for language learning on the telephone, and that, due to the concentration involved, these 25 minutes are equivalent in learning to a one-hour face-to-face class.
- The timetable for the classes can be at any time between 08:00 and 21:30, depending on the wishes of the student and the availability of teacher. In order to guarantee the maximum effectiveness of EUROPHONE® Mac it is recommended that the student carry out a minimum of two structured classes per week, according to the needs and sector of the student.
- The classes are very flexible, enjoyable and designed to fulfil the student’s long-term and short-term objectives. The classes consist of a combination of grammatical exercises, oral comprehension, fluidity and so on, recreating real situations and role-plays.
Who would benefit from EUROPHONE® Mac?
- EUROPHONE® Mac has been developed thinking of directors, executives and business people who are pressured for time and whose position and responsibilities do not allow them to learn English using more traditional methods. It is an ideal system for people who frequently make business trips and who cannot regularly attend face-to-face classes. Being a one-to-one course, the student does not waste time or miss class due to unavailability on a particular day. EUROPHONE® Mac is also an ideal compliment to face-to-face and multimedia classes.
- The EUROPHONE® Mac student needs to possess at least a pre-intermediate level in the language that s/he wants to improve in. This is due to the fact that the exercises and skills involved demand a certain level of understanding and fluidity in order to enable oral communication between the student and teacher, particularly as the classes are always given in the language that is being learnt.
Which professionals teach EUROPHONE® Mac?
- The teaching professionals who make up the EUROPHONE® Mac department are all native graduates, with a proven track record in teaching both face-to-face and telephone classes. Our teachers have been specifically trained in giving telephone classes and regularly undergo further teacher training and development.
- The exclusive methodology of EUROPHONE® Mac combines the professionalism of our language experts in order to give motivating, effective classes that guarantee rapid progress in the language and the comprehension and oral fluency of the student.
Characteristics of the EUROPHONE® Mac course
- The student needs to do an oral level test, via the telephone, before the course starts so that the teacher can check the grammatical and oral level of the student.
- The student needs to fill in a Needs Analysis document sent by EURO LANGUAGE CONSULTANTS in whish s/he indicates the his/her interests and professional needs in order to plan a personalised course which guarantees maximum language learning.
- In order to start the class, the teacher telephones the student at the allotted hour or waits for the student to call, according to what has been previously arranged. The student then returns the call in order for the class to begin.
- The oral sessions are taught over the telephone and whenever necessary, the teacher sends support material via email or fax.
- Being a personalised course, the teacher prepares and adapts any material necessary, according to the needs of the student. Being that the student does not follow a book, a high level of concentration is needed and the oral comprehension of the student will rapidly improve.
- There is timetable flexibility. In the case that a student needs to change the time or cancel a class, s/he can do so by contacting EURO LANGUAGE CONSULTANTS a minimum of two hours before the class is due to start in order for the class to be rearranged. If this is not fulfilled then it will be charged for, without the possibility of recuperating the lost class.
- Some students prefer to combine their telephone classes with face-to-face groups, multimedia or other systems that they already have in operation. For these and other forms of learning, we will adapt the quotation as necessary.

Give your students the opportunity of an international. STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM in Madrid
Spring Half Term & Easter & Summer Holidays 2016
MADRID ADVENTURE!
Madrid Adventure! is a specially designed program for teenagers (ages 14 – 18) to study Spanish in a professional & secure environment and get to know Madrid, its history & culture.
The Madrid Adventure! program consists of classroom study in the mornings from 9:30 – 1:00 (or afternoon study with our summer program) with one of our expert Spanish teachers, lunch with the homestay family or in group at a local restaurant and an afternoon of fun cultural activities specially chosen by your own school. We offer a wide variety of possible outings in Madrid, all chaperoned by ELC staff along with your own school visiting teachers.
How is the ELC Madrid Adventure! program different from other TEEN STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS?
- SECURITY & CONFIDENCE: ELC members actively participate on all excursions – not just chaperoning- teaching, interacting & joining in the fun with our students. Homestay with the families is arranged so 1 or 2 students stay per family. Our homestay families are carefully selected and we are in constant contact with them.
- CHOOSE YOUR OWN IDEAL AFTERNOON PROGRAM! We offer an extensive range of afternoon possibilities. You select the options that interest you most. Our activities are varied, but all are designed to expand cultural knowledge of Madrid and take place outside the classroom. We believe that if you come to Madrid to learn more about Spanish language & culture, you need to do & see things related specially to Spanish culture.
- EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL APPROACH: ELC was born over a decade ago – its founding members have been teaching and organizing study programs in Madrid for over 20 years. Our staff are both experienced & dedicated to teaching & learning in all aspects. ELC is not a chain and every student is considered on an individual learning basis – for this reason our courses are all tailor-made to suit your needs best. ONLY 8 STUDENTS/ GROUP
- PRICE: 990 € per student/ week, includes course, materials, homestay and all cultural activities, except where marked “optional”. Flight not included 1 or 2 week programs.
